It's February and we celebrate Black History month all month long. Valentine's day is also celebrated on the 14th of the month. Here's the question: Shouldn't we support both all year long? Valentine's day is a day we express love to our loved ones. We also celebrate the accomplishments of our African American forefathers who paced the way for us. Are we really celebrating the way we should? As a people we fail to work together. Competition divides us, greed destroys us, and jealously kills us. Stevie Wonder song says, " Love's In Need of Love Today, Send Your Love Right Away." Now is the time to decide today that we will start encouraging our brother, praying for our sister, and loving each other. We are a unique people we have struggled and survived many trials thrown are way. We are conquerors, we are mighty, and we are God-fearing. Let's take pride in loving each other. Let's get back to helping each other, talking to each other. Let' get back to being a village: All for One and One for All. Let's stop the hate, the killings, the down talk. If you make it out help the next person who's trying to get there. Proverbs 27:17 says " As iron sharpens iron so one person sharpens another." Black is a rich color, black is elegant, black has power, black is a color that represents unity. Let's start showing how much we care about each other. Send your love right away!!!
